What is a revenue agent?

Definition

A revenue agent is an AI agent that does the work around selling for a sales team, such as capturing calls, updating the CRM, drafting follow-ups and flagging risk, with a person approving what matters.

Why it matters

Sales software of the last two decades mostly gave reps more places to type. The CRM, the sequencing tool, the note-taker and the forecast sheet all wait for a person to fill them in, and reps spend a large part of their week on that admin instead of with buyers.

A revenue agent turns that around. It does not wait for input: it listens to the call, reads the CRM, knows the deal and does the next piece of work itself. The rep stays in charge of anything that reaches a customer or changes the record, but the drafting, logging and chasing is done before they ask.

For a sales leader this changes two things. Data in the CRM stops depending on discipline, and the time reps win back goes to selling.

Example

At 41:05 in a demo call, the buyer says, “Send me the security documentation and we will loop in our IT lead next Tuesday.”

Without an agent, that sentence lives in the rep’s memory until evening. With a revenue agent, by the time the rep is back at their desk the follow-up email is drafted in the language of the call with the security documents attached, a meeting task for Tuesday is queued, the IT lead is proposed as a new contact on the deal, and the deal stage moves from demo to evaluation. The rep reads it over and approves in one click.

How Drummer handles it

Drummer mounts revenue agents onto the CRM you already have: Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Pipedrive, Zoho, Teamleader or Attio. There is no migration and no new tool for reps to learn.

Every rep gets an AI twin that knows their calls, deals and contacts. It keeps the CRM current with an audit trail, drafts follow-ups and preps the next meeting. Nothing goes out in the rep’s name without their approval. The full picture is on the product page.

Give every rep a day back, starting next week.

Thirty minutes, on your own calls and your own CRM. No migration, nothing for your reps to learn.
